 The education authorities in Bremen and Bremerhaven need teachers of English/Business English and Spanish to work in secondary, bi-lingual secondary and vocational schools in their respective cities. There may also be opportunities for suitably qualified teachers to teach other subjects including Latin, Maths, Science and Metalwork. Most teachers recruited under this scheme are native English speakers with a good working knowledge of German. This is an excellent opportunity if you are looking for a new challenge and want a stable and attractive environment. German schools are well equipped, class sizes are limited to 30 and students are generally well motivated. The Destination Germany scheme has been running since 2002 and is a rolling programme with a start date usually in August each year. However, there may be vacancies at other times and applications are therefore invited from all teachers who may be interested in the scheme.
